KETAMINE ASSISTED EMDR THERAPY

LET'S TALK

Ketamine Assisted EMDR Therapy TM is a therapeutic method that has been developed by Danielle Ciccone, LPCC, LMHC and Michele Topel, LPC.

The client self-administers a low dose of sublingual ketamine during a two hour EMDR therapy reprocessing session to facilitate the adaptive resolution of traumatic memories.

Ketamine, at a low dose, has a calming effect that can reduce emotional overwhelm and can lower defenses allowing clients to revisit distressing memories with less fear and a sense of emotional safety.

We know that clients can feel stuck or “go numb” when attempting to work through their trauma. Ketamine enhances neuroplasticity—the brain’s ability to form new connections—helping clients become more open to new perspectives. This flexibility allows for deeper cognitive and emotional shifts during EMDR therapy reprocessing.

Clients will have the ability to expedite healing as a result of the synthesis of ketamine and EMDR. By pairing the bilateral stimulation of EMDR with ketamine’s psychological effects, memories and trauma that were once heavy weights on the psyche can be released and healed.

Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy session as well as Psychedelic Preparation and Integration sessions are available upon request.
